If you can see your path laid out in front of you step by step, you know it's not your path. Your own path you make with every step you take. That's why it's your path.
— Joseph Campbell
I want to tell you my story, and I have a feeling it is not unlike your own. I believe you, too, have sensed the deeper Self longing to emerge, and have wondered at how to make it manifest.
As a child, I always believed I was divinely destined to adventure through the vivid green countryside, healing the world with a glittering magic only I could see. I also sensed in myself an utter devotion to the divine, and would often get lost staring at the moon or watching for passing angels. I recognized in childhood that inside me lived a tiny mystic with a lot to say, and I trusted that voice more than anything else. I was a weird, scorpionic introvert soul, and I was very in love with life.
As an adult, I believed my love of life would become real in my passion for the arts. But after building a beautiful and debilitating career in musical theatre performance, I realized that the little mystic inside was aching. I longed for something deeper. I longed for mystery and meaning, and the wisdom of the ancient. And after discovering a tiny book called The Undiscovered Self by Carl Jung in my grandfather’s attic library, I knew I had to change my life.
I let go of everything else, and learned to radically trust the little mystic within. I earned my master’s degree from the Graduate Institute of the City University of New York in Western Intellectual Traditions, with a focus on transformations of the archetypal Feminine. And at the same time I began developing my tarot practice and deeper Jungian study.
Persephone’s Sister came into being with a magical elegance. I began reading tarot professionally, and my natural connection to its archetypal language allowed me to offer clients a reading that brings them deep into their sacred truths. I began to share the knowledge I had accumulated in my years of study—teaching seminars on Jung, the Eternal Feminine, occultism, and much more. I created a new moon ritual circle, making a safe container for deep spiritual restoration and connection for my community.
I am proud of my journey, and I want to offer what wisdom I can to the souls in search of depth and meaning, who long for mystical revelation and radical self-tending. That was my dream from my earliest years, and I am so blessed that the little mystic within has become very much who I am, that I can offer what healing to the world I can.
